Mary believes that climate change is one of the largest human-made threats facing our world. Protecting our natural resources, promoting environmental justice, and creating good-paying clean energy jobs are priorities for Mary. 

When local families raised concerns about hazardous chemicals in our air, Mary took action. She stood with local families and fought to ban the use of these dangerous chemicals, hold corporate polluters accountable for the damage they caused, and demand greater protections for the air we breathe. 

Mary has passed legislation to improve conservation efforts,  received a 100% rating from the Illinois Environmental Council, and is endorsed by the Illinois Sierra Club. She will continue to be a champion for the environment.
